How long does it take to apply paint protection film?

It takes around two hours to apply PPF to a small automobile, while it takes approximately four hours to do the same job on a large car. This time, however, may vary significantly based on the size of the vehicle and the skill level of the installer. Some installers may also charge extra for difficult installations, such as those with curves or complex designs.

Are there any special care instructions for paint protection film?

You’re wondering how long paint protection film will last after you’ve applied it to your car. Once the film is on, there’s very little upkeep required. Most importantly, do not wash your automobile with harsh chemicals or with a power washer because this may damage the film. Only use mild soap and rinse completely when washing by hand. If you want your paint protection film to last, avoid waxing it as this will discolor the surface over time. Be vigilant when parking near trees or bushes, as sap can also cause staining. Inspect the film on your car regularly for any damage and have repairs done immediately if needed. With a little care, your paint protection film will stay looking great for years to come.

What happens if the film gets scratched?

If the ppf is not installed correctly, it can be scratched. When the automobile is driven, if the ppf is installed too near to the paint’s edge, it can get chipped or scraped. Even a minor scratch on the finish might cause it to yellow over time and make removing the ppl more difficult. In addition, scratches may also make it more difficult to remove the ppp when it’s time to replace it. It’s recommended that you install at least a quarter-inch of ppf beyond the paint’s edge for protection against chipping and scratching as well as making removal easier when necessary.

Can paint protection film be removed?

Nothing is ever permanent when it comes to applying paint protection film. This can be a positive thing since you may always remove the film if necessary. Even tattoos that appear to be permanent may be removed. So don’t worry if your vehicle’s protective film becomes outdated and needs to be removed
