The ppf can get scratched if it's not installed correctly. If the ppf is installed too close to the edge of the paint, it can get chipped or scratched when the car is driven. This might happen even if the ppf is installed correctly, so you'll want to be careful. It's also important to make sure that there is enough space between the edge of the paint and the ppf- at least a quarter inch. This will help protect the paint from being damaged and make it easier to remove the ppf when it needs to be replaced
