FAQ

How long does it take to apply paint protection film?

Installation of PPF usually takes between 2 and 5 days. This includes a 12 hour curing period. This may sound like a long time, but it is worth it because PPF provides long term protection from UV rays, road debris, and bird droppings. Your car’s paint job will look showroom-fresh for years to come with PPF installed.

Are there any special care instructions for paint protection film?

Applying paint protection film is a great way to keep your car looking new. However, there are a few things you need to do to keep the film in good condition. First, avoid washing your car with harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can break down the film and cause it to lose its shine. Additionally, be sure to wax the film regularly to keep it looking glossy and protected from the elements. To avoid damaging the surface, don’t scrub or rub the film when you’re cleaning it. With proper care, your paint protection film will last for many years.

What happens if the film gets scratched?

Most car paint protection films are designed to be highly durable and resistant to scratching. However, even the toughest film can eventually get scratched. When this happens, it is important to take care of the scratch as soon as possible to prevent it from causing further damage. The first step is to clean the area around the scratch. This will remove any dirt or debris that could potentially cause further scratching. Next, use a soft cloth or applicator to apply a small amount of paint protection film repair solution to the scratch. Once the solution has had a chance to set, use a towel or polishing pad to buff out the scratch. In most cases, this will be enough to completely remove the scratch and restore the protective film to its original condition. However, if the scratch is particularly deep or severe, it may need to be patched with a new piece of film.

Can paint protection film be removed?

Many automobiles and van protective film goods have a shelf life after which they must be removed and replaced. Of course, Gleamworks can assist with this as well. We recommend utilizing our specialists since removing the car and van protective film necessitates the help of an expert.

What kind of vehicles can use PPF?

Car paint protection film can be used on a variety of different vehicles. It is often used on luxury cars, as it can protect the paint from scratches and other damages. This film can also be used on more affordable cars, as it still offers some protection against the elements.
